Ever wish you could have someone elevate your child's education plan to promote success at school?
Hi, I'm Amy!
I'll review and edit your child's Individualized Education Plan or behavior plan to ensure the school is providing the tools and accommodations that allow your child to succeed in school.
Serving families of Florida public schools.
When your child is truly getting the accommodations and support they need, meaningful growth is possible!
Your child's IEP is like the Bible of the special education classroom and it is a legally binding document.
And when it is misaligned to your child's needs and it lacks proper implementation, then your child ends up suffering and their behavior and confidence regresses. AND it adds more stress to you as the parent knowing that your child is not being best served at school.
Imagine being given the exact verbiage and knowledge you need to advocate for the Free Appropriate Public Education your child is legally entitled to?
Imagine walking into that meeting knowing exactly what you want and how to ask for it?
Imagine being able to elevate your child's mediocre IEP to a great one?
When your child has a quality special education plan, they are able to
✅ make more progress
✅ receive more support
✅ gain confidence
✅ feel more capable
✅ have their needs met
✅ have a better school experience
You Know Something is Missing to Give Your Child Greater Success in School,
and You're Ready to Take Action on Making that Happen
As an elementary educator for over 13 years, I know deeply how your child's classroom IEP quality and implementation can affect their progress. Having created, revised, and implemented 7 years' worth of special education plans, I know that school's must have a quality document that is able to be implemented clearly and consistently in order for your child to make meaningful progress.
Unfortunately, just because your child has an IEP does not mean it suits their needs or provides them with meaningful opportunity for growth. And how is a parent supposed to know that? You're thinking, "I should be able to trust the school" but you're feeling like something is missing.
You’ve noticed the gaps, and you’re ready to make sure your child gets what they need to make meaningful progress. With the right guidance, a few strategic adjustments can make all the difference and leave you with one less thing to worry about.

BEFORE
"I felt helpless & at the mercy of the school & their so-called experts."
AFTER
"I feel empowered & much more confident to speak up & advocate for my son."
"The resources & accommodations that you have offered were much needed & will be very beneficial to the teachers to support him & set him up for success."
"I believe that you pointing out the discrepancies/ confusing text & offering suggestions to help clarify was very beneficial to help set him up for success & give him the support he needs."
Here I give an example of a standard goal compared to an ELEVATED goal and tell you how this change improves the success your student can have in the classroom.
How does this work?
1. You will
provide your preferred email in the payment link. Make sure I have the most current email address so your documents arrive properly.
2. Upon payment,
you will be emailed a form within 24 hours for me to collect your concerns and priorities regarding your child's IEP and education.
3. You will also need to
scan or email your child's current IEP or behavior plan paperwork to me at amy@theempoweredparent.us.
