Advocacy for Special Needs Students, Success with Their Unique Needs in Mind

Wish you had a dedicated advocate for your child at school?

Imagine a professional championing your child's needs and driving real change for their success!

Serving families of Florida public schools.

My name is Amy, and I might be EXACTLY who you need.

You know your child needs more support and you are at a loss! As an involved parent, you work, you care for your children, and you've tried everything you can at home to improve their behavior at school. But the fact is, YOU AREN'T AT THE SCHOOL and you are at your wit's end with these "bad" school days!

You want answers, practical solutions, and powerful results.

You also want to rest ASSURED that the school is doing their full part in promoting your child's success.

Imagine the possibilities

🌟 No longer getting negative phone calls from the school

🌟 Your child getting appropriate accommodations for their needs or disability

🌟 Being proud of your child's progress and picking them up from school with joy instead of dread

🌟 Feeling relieved that your child is supported at school in a way that meets their individual needs

🌟 Having someone with the special education knowledge and lingo to attend meetings with you and strengthen your voice

🌟 The confidence that you can advocate for your child at school

Leave the hard work to me! I'll get my brain all up in your child's business and put my 15 years of educational experience into improving your student's school behavior and experience. I'll even help you understand you and your child's rights when the school isn't following through on their promises.

I'm a dedicated expert on your child's side—

  • Lack of tools and skills to implement in the classroom
  • An ineffective and underused classroom behavior plan
  • Teachers without effective strategies

 After

  • ZERO end of year suspensions
  • An empowered mom who knows what her child deserves in the classroom
  • Increased accountability for the school to uphold the IEP
  • A clear and effective classroom behavior plan that improves K's behavior
  • Individualized behavior accommodations and supports

"I believe that having you there [in the meetings] to point out the discrepancies/confusing text & offer suggestions to help clarify was very beneficial to help set him up for success & give him the support he needs in the upcoming school year."

"My experience has been the best. I have never felt disrespected or unheard when expressing my concerns or feelings. I feel that everything has been handled in a very knowledgeable & professional manner. I honestly feel that I could not have done this alone & feel that you are worth every penny! I will continue to recommend you to anyone that is in need of an advocate."

"K had a good end of year following our meeting and the additional supports put in place. Following the IEP meeting, K was never alone on campus, as requested. Ms. M would meet K up front every morning and they would do a morning walk together. During their walk, they would discuss his zone and what he needs to be successful that day.

They would also
discuss his "toolbox" and what it looks like to use the tools he has (break cards, taking deep breaths, moving away from others if bothered, etc.) He is also the first one to get on the bus in the afternoon to allow him to get settled before other students get on. This helped him from becoming upset with other students.

He had
two designated cool down spots in the classroom. One was in the swing (which is what he most preferred), and the other was under the counter. He did utilize both of these options.

Throughout the day, as K and the teacher would meet to complete the self reflection and match form, they would discuss good choices he had made and how he can turn his day around if any frown faces were earned. This allowed time for K to reflect on his behaviors and the teacher to provide
instruction on self-regulation and coping skills."
